Are these the Actions of Our US Lady Justice? Tipping Scales? Peeking for Corporate Interest? Accepting Bribes? Knee Deep in Exxon Oil? Allowing Human Life as Exxon's Collateral Damage?
Here is the rest of the story: The Corporations, Exxon and VECO, determined our quality of life 20 years ago during the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill (EVOS) cleanup. April 20, 2010, BP created a similar devastating condition that will cause health issues and death for many of the Gulf residents and oil spill cleanup workers.
My name is Merle Savage; a female general foreman during the EVOS beach cleanup in 1989, which turned into 21 years of extensive health deterioration for me and many other workers. Dr. Riki Ott visited me in 2007 to explain about the toxic spraying on the beaches. She also informed me that Exxon’s medical records and the reports that surfaced in litigation brought by sick workers in 1994, had been sealed from the public, making it impossible to hold Exxon responsible for their actions. http://www.rikiott.com
Exxon developed the toxic spraying; OSHA, the Coast Guard, and the state of Alaska authorized the procedure; VECO and other Exxon contractors implemented it. Beach crews breathed in crude oil that splashed off the rocks and into the air — the toxic exposure turned into chronic breathing conditions and central nervous system problems, along with other massive health issues. I am only one out of 10,000+ EVSO workers who suffer extreme health problems during and after the 1989 EVOS cleanup. Some of the illnesses include neurological impairment, chronic respiratory disease, leukemia, lymphoma, brain tumors, liver damage, and blood disease. Please view the 7 minute video that validates my accusations.
My website is devoted to searching for EVOS cleanup workers who have been exposed to the toxic spraying and are suffering from the same illnesses as me. Our summer employment turned into a death sentence for many — and a life of unending medical conditions for the rest of us.
Also since the BP oil spill in the Gulf, there have been many workers and residents from the Gulf oil spill cleanup who are having identical health issues like the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup workers.
October, 2010 – It has been 6 months since the Gulf of Mexico was assaulted, and left with toxic crude oil to contaminate human life, sea life, animal life, and the environment. For six months I have tried to notify the residents and workers to demand respirators for their protection, but because of BP’s denial that crude oil is not toxic, BP will not allow workers to wear respirators. That is the same criminal action Exxon was guilty of in 1989. BP, US Government and other agencies that are in control of the incident have showed their true colors and it is not in the best interest of We The People.
